Anthony Bates is  an award winning photographer who has had a lifelong interest in architecture having worked with some of the leading architects in the Country. His work often was often focussed around regeneration which reminded him of a childhood experience when seeing the Festival of Britain in 1951. Even at a young age it had an enormous impact, bearing in mind that London, at that time, was war torn with huge areas resembling a wasteland. To experience the colour and breathtaking new buildings made a huge impact on him.  That memory and work experience, together with his passion for photography evolved into the concept of writing this book.  

Anthony is married with 4 sons and now lives in Wiltshire; never retired and following a lifelong passion with photography. This book is the culmination of a year's work.
